Well, what would you have done?
On exiting Sunbury lock heading upriver around midday yesterday, I was confronted by numerous skiffs (2 rowers plus cox - must have been at least 20 of 'em) all actually in and effectively blocking the lock cut. In my quiet way I patiently picked my way thru them and even refrained from tooting my tooter. Even when they saw me bearing down on them they did little to get out of the way.
So, this morning I rang the rivertollas at Reading and said quietly but firmly that I did not think they had been behaving with reasonable regard for other river users and they have promised to 'look into it'..
So, am I a Meldrew.....?
