I wondered what his taylor said?

I felt he did much better in the boat than on the keel, well done that man for:

a) completing the Vendée Globe

b) coming 3rd

c) shadowing Jean-Pierre Dick when he was sailing without a keel a fantastic bit of seamanship on his part and sportsmanship on Thompsons part.

We were doing quite a bit of clothes shopping a whils back... more like window shopping in clothes shops.. whilst Alex was doing his thing in the Southern Ocean and comming to the aid of JP Dick..

There was never so much as a small pickie of him or the boat in any Hugo Boss store we visited..

I was wondering where the rudders were; flipped up on the uphill side. Its a bit of an anti climax really - man walks on keel of yacht!

Looking at the picture Danny_Labrador has now added, thanks Danny, looks like they have changed the angle of the keel just for the stunt?

It's a chanting keel so is canted to windward especially when going up wind.

I do believe though to ensure the keel was free of the water that they kept the leeward water ballast tanks full.

Thanks for the posting I've not heard of them before - I'll go and look them.

Know what you mean. I have an Ipan and I keep clicking on names and getting peoples profiles rather that the post I'm trying to see.

I was told his (Alex Thompson's) Dad used to fly the Coastguard helicopter from Leigh on Solent, is that true?
