In Braye ATM.

Mooring is now £20/night, but if you pay for 2 nghts, you get the 3rd free, so it's now cheaper for 3 nights than it used to be.

Fred Drift here, but does anyone know if the First and Last is still open now that Rita has finally retired and is it as good as ever?

Fag packet calc: does 15 occupied buoys at £20 for 90 summer days sound about right for Alderney? That equates to £27,000 p.a.

Tossing in another 10 fully occupied summer days (70 buoys @ £20) adds another £14,000.

That tots up to c.£44,000 odd for maintaining 70 serviced buoys in a wild and beautiful part of the world.

Sounds like good value for us yotties, not to mention some surprisingly good restaurants, secluded beaches, lovely walks, unforgettable runway....

Well done Alderney :encouragement:
