If you have a bow roller and have or can fit a pin over the rope that helps to contain it.

Even on the lake the Northerlies cause probs.

Do make sure you know where the swivel is in the mooring setup. On mine the swivel is under the buoy so you have to attach to the top ring. Linking the top and bottom would be a problem in a 360 degree wind cycle. If you're in a tide you could generate a twist at each turn!
