I'm using an Android device and am fed up with a pop up that links to another ad (about ketogenic diets of all things!) that won't let me close it. Only option is to close the forum and reload. Help gratefully received.

It’s a problem on several Future platforms. They’re aware and are supposed to be sorting it.

I've an android device using chrome. It seems more of a hijacker than just an ad?
I just use the back button and go back to the page I was on.
But hell yes it's annoying.

Suggest you report it to the administrators of these forums. They know about it and are trying to fix it but the more people who complain the higher their priority. It's been a over a week now so obviously not a high priority yet.

I've mentioned it on a previous thread which was about the pop up where admin were involved so assume they are already fully aware .

Disable javascript for this site in browser settings

Follow on from Bru's posting above here are some instructions to disable javascript in Chrome for these forums:

Open Chrome
Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (three dots upper-right).
Tap Settings.
From the Advanced section, tap Site settings.
Tap JavaScript.
Tap + add site exception
www.forums.ybw.com
Click add
www.ybw.com
Click add
Click the back arrow a couple of times to return to your homepage
And thats it.
It has worked for me on the two forums that have had this problem.
