Need to free alloy-alloy join on furler. Frozen together. Thought make dam with sikaflex And soak with the above. Bearings inside are Torlon. Will acetone attack these.

I use the mixture on cars and it works extremely well - I try to get it working 24 hours before I need the part freed. Recently I've substituted brake and clutch cleaner for acetone and it seems to work just as well, and I feel that the thinning is just to help deliver thick oil before evaporating.

Good as it is, I don't think it's the right stuff for a stuck foil section. I'll repeat that I've read that soaking in Ammonia is supposed to dissolve Alu oxide - don't know, haven't really had the chance to try it, and none of the people that I've suggested it to has ever replied with a yea or nay. Hot water is the most common advice.

Aluminium oxide is amphoteric but I am pretty sure it will not dissolve in ammonia solution. Please let us know if you find that it does

Aluminium will certainly dissolve in Ammonia, as it will in any strong base. I am less certain of Alumina, but I guess that it might work by attacking the underlying aluminium and thus loosening the attached oxide. However, it belongs to a class of solutions that I'd use with very great care!
