I have been advised, overnight, by the Mods that my access to PBO has been returned. The Mods omitted to mention that the ban was temporary, and for 10 days. The implication, when sentence was imposed, that it was 'for ever'. The 10 days in isolation has now been served and I now have full access to PBO.

Again, very many thanks to the volume of support, as I said - very, very humbling. I took to listing the members offering support and encouragement intending to thank each of you personally and individually - but the numbers grew to make this an onerous task - suffice to say I owe each and every one of you.

I have taken note that some find anchor threads boring - I'll try to make them more interesting for you - but if I fail (I am only human) maybe filter out the anchor threads and move to the more fascinating topic of exhaust elbows, antifoam choice (another of my pet topics) and whether to use fender covers :). Promoted by my ban a member did raise an issue on a specific anchor and I will initiate a thread on the topic. I did take notice. I just need to get my act together with the background - and cogitate on how to make the thread of interest to as many as possible.

If anyone has an 'anchoring' issue and feels they do not wish to initiate a thread I am very happy to respond to a PM, though prefer email as it is easier to send images. So send me a PM and we can pick up correspondence from there. I am more than happy to share what little knowledge I have - but I do not claim to be an expert so my help will be limited. I make this offer with some selfish reasons - if you have a problem it is unlikely to be completely unique and you problem might merit further investigation and maybe a thread or even an article - so I am devious and have ulterior motives! :)

Don't drop your guard on Covid - we seem to have a long way to go.

Like setting your anchor - complacency has no place....... :)

Take care, stay safe

And thanks

Jonathan

It isn't any wonder a lot of knowledgeable, worthwhile forumites have moved on? Now we are left with people who think it is all about one-upmanship.

The forum is not a patch on what it was 3/4 years ago.

Out of interest, where are these articles published and do you derive income from your selfish/devious ulterior motives?;)

I lost a freind to covid 3 days ago. For me, the first that close to home. He had procrastinated on vaccination, in spite of combined state and company incentives totaling $200. He was not an anti-vaxer, just ... I guess it does not matter now.

That's awful. Many such stories of those who delayed until too late and particularly hard when it's a friend. I'm sorry for your loss.

Covid is silent and invisible, until it isn't. Since I wrote, another neighbor is in ICU (although I belvieve this guy will recover). He was vaccinated, everyone around him is vacinated and he does not go out much, but has health issues. If not for the vaccine, he would be dead by now.
