A very bad experience with SeaTeach chandlery

I am pleased to see that people are prepared to expose those stores which do not provide a good level of service; it is to everyone's interest. Personally, I never had any problems with Sea Teach; I bought an outboard, inflatable and two lifejackets a year and a half ago; they even changed the lifejackets when I took them back because the expiry date of the gas cylinders was due expire within 6 months of purchase, which was no good; they changed then without issues; perhaps I was lucky; but concerns me when I hear that there are plenty of "unlucky" customers too.

They are the most convenient chandler for me and am happy enough to use them when necessary. Yes, one of the owners does have 'off days' .... but seldom now see him on the shop-floor.

Sadly the stock of the 'little bits-and-pieces' does not seem to be as well maintained as it used to be when they were in the previous premises ---near the chippy, opposite side.
( Come to that, who still remembers when they were on the quay, in what is now Flintstones cafe :o )

Been in there once or twice. I did order a vent grill that took a while to arrive. They did explain that the supplier hadn't got a delivery from thr manufactures in china or the far east somewhere. Yet they did phone me as soona s it arrived.
I have found them a bit expensive for one or two small bits etc, yet it is a chandlers so what would you expect. Haven't spent any large amounts of money with them so can't comment on aftersales etc.
They're just convenient being 2 mins from the boat.
