Not Newtown, there is a building on the left that is wrong - also rules out E Head as well I think. Skyline doesn't seem to fit for anywhere else on th IW.
It's too bl****n busy wherever it is. Please divulge the answer a.s.a.p so that people can avoid it. Do folks really go to such places by choice? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Yep - East Head, fantastic feet up weekend in the sunshine and finally, for once, not upside down fixing something. Next weekend is the decant of cold weather gear and final prep.
Yes, thanks to Penguin Refrigeration. They took the cheapo system supplied by Pumpkin back and credited the cost against a Frigoboat system. Although it uses the same Danfoss compressor, it's much better built. Mind you, for 500 quid it should be!
In the process of fitting it, found a concealed space with a water purification filter which I never knew we had. It was due for replacement April 94 so guess previous owner never found it either!
Topside scratches fixed, topsides polished, old antifoul sanded fair, new antifoul, Maxprop serviced, renewed anodes, seacocks serviced and prop/shaft lanolinned. Mark is re-doing a botched gel repair to the bow (not me guv!) then back in tomorrow pm.
FWIW it was me sailing the RS Feva and towing the canoe. Don't think you recgnised me. We were anchored up at the shallow end and there was a bit more room up there.
Sounds good Tome, hope the water quality improves for you.
We are having Moondance lifted the day after the International Fleet Review. She will be scrubbed, antifouled, seacocks serviced, anode change etc. by a reputable chap in the marina who I have used before. However, I also asked for the topsides to be polished while she is out. He questioned my use of the word 'topsides'.
To me, it is the hull between the waterline and the gunwale. He said some people use the term for everything above the gunwale. WOuld be interested to know what you meant in your own post.
