A simple, basic, online weather forecast ?

If you have YAHOO enabled on Mozilla Firefox it has a line of options on the opening display at the top - todays display is of a sun and cloud and 12degreesC, click on this and it gives you a general forecast, add a place name for it to search and it displays the local forecast, (from Weathernet). Below this there is a brief one line entry for the next few days and clicking on any of these days will expand the search in more detail for your searched locality.

Some while ago the BBC stopped its pages of actuals and the pages of the NAVTEX "shipping forecast" texts although they still provide the NAVTEX "extended forecasts" - 3 to 5 days ahead.

I do not know how useful sailors find the "Coastal Forecasts." These are outputs direct from their meso-scale forecasts. These should be better than other meso-scale forecasts because they start from a better analysis and because the Met Office meso-scale model is as good as any, probably better,
