A sad story. Forum Burgees

On the real Med. a picture is worth a thousand words.

Spooky...the hole is a similar shape to the mouse

should there be a prize for the burgee that is the most distant one from Haydn's HQ, or the one that has done most miles, or been boarded most often, or ...

I put by bid in for having one the farthest from the UK. Location is NW corner of the United States. Now, this burgee was hand carried and flown from the UK. Does that count for the most miles traveled too?

Bernie

Tom off Little Ship took one to America, cant remember where. So there is at least another contender.

Mind M Farters own little mouse will take a bit of beating. This mighty mouse has done 1200 hours, so maybe between 12 and 24 thousand miles.

The Mouse That Roared.

Well it's only about 4,000 miles to Merica and just a few Indibums live there anyway. A former colony of little significance and anyway they cant make tea.

Not sure it counts anyway as it was a conspiracy between two folk and boats.:p

It was a straight trade, the burgee, two litres of Bombay (for the Indubums) & a litre of single malt, for a bottle of fire water.:D

Living in a colonial wilderness, we must make do to survive. Washing clothes on a rock by a stream, hanging them everywhere to dry. It's tough living on the frontier. :p

Don't forget putting the boats in a circle Bernie, do the indigenous tribes still attack in their war canoes?

We have a similar problem with basic survival as well....:)

We do circle the boats and by coincedence, a fleet of war canoes just came through my harbour headed North. They still take their "traditional" whale each year in canoes to preserve custom. They also seem to be using their "traditional" 50 caliber rifle to make the kill.

Look at recent pictures of Tom. He was out here last year and it looks like they got a piece of his scalp. :D :D

Be careful sparring with the N Wales gang Bernie, they don't take prisoners you know..:D

I'm just having an image of a group of 'traditional owners' in a war canoe discharging a 50 cal., the recoil would turn it upside down..
