If you put them on ebay with a buy-it-now price you can accept paypal payments quite simply.

Alternatively you can simply mail a Paypal invoice to people easily.

Google operated a similar system.

Cheques and transfers are just a pain in the ar$e.

I'd take one if I could paypal or google for it.

My experience is one of a very collectable flag, mine was nicked by some scroat within a month of flying it.

I'd tied to the base of the WT mast which is on top of the radar arch, the thief cut it off, and just left the two pieces of lanyard on the mast.

Never got round to replacing it, sorry Hayden.

This is true. The Major is as portrayed in her avatar and falls over after the second half of shandy! :D
Any forumite who looks like the Major's avatar is more than welcome to come and visit my boat. We will motor round to a nice secluded cove I know, I will pop the cork on a fine bottle of Lidl €1.29 cava and then she can get her "funbox" out.

Hoy Tom, by a process of deduction, it looks like Mal is dissing you here mate, and after all that hospitality last weekend too! :D

Well I have had two and been very pleased with both of them.First one wore out but is currently lurking in my filing cabinet and will be disinterred and put back into service if no more are forthcoming.
With regards to wearing the Burgee mine has always been on display and have yet to meet any forumite who has not been pleasant and a pleasure to meet.

Problem has been that a certain few are more interested in proclaiming their political cant rather than enthusiasm for boating. The numbers posting in Lounge who very rarely contribute to any of the other forums makes me wonder exactly how many would stay on the forum if the Lounge was shut down. ?

funny thing but I don't think I have ever visited the Lounge, let alone posted there - from the observations in this thread I think I will leave it that way!

Oi, I've got just the thing for you, a four foot WOODEN SPOON! I did not say it should be called, I said it could be called. Not quite the same thing, and I aint dissing anyone (What ever that may mean!) Besides I have some important hardware belonging to Littleships Skipper, so why would I be messing him around:rolleyes:

More importantly I have thought of a better title 'Y felinheli Mobsters' they virutually run the place. Nothing can move without the Major's knowledge, Kwakers will chase em down if folk try to get away, and the Godfather (or should that be CODFATHER) comes along on his trawler yacht to makes sure everyone gets their just deserts:cool:

Mal :p

Already got one, they're standard issue at PD.

Go on then, I'll give you that, you did say could. What's aint mean? :p

Maybe even more importantly, all concerned will know this is all harmless leg pulling :)

The burgee is well made, in fact, too well made. It is a heavy two ply material that flaps with remarkable vigour at planning speeds, either wearing itself out or in my case, tugging the short flagpole I attached to the radar arch back to the horizontal.

I fixed it by cutting a small 5mm slot half way down the flag near the pole. Then I put a large cable tie around the pole, and inserted the end of the tie into the slot. It slides inside the burgee between the two layers, reaching almost to the pointy end. It adds just enough resistance to counter the flapping. As a by-product, it stands proudly erect even with no wind.

Well, I'll start this one off. I put my current burgee on my last boat when I bought it in Holland. It then got trucked to SoF and then delivered to Majorca by sea. It went all around the Balearics for 5 seasons before the boat was moved to Sardinia and then onto Istria in Croatia in N Adriatic. The burgee was then transferred to my current boat where it travelled further north into Italy before heading south again to Split. Its just broken it's string bit which I think is disgraceful for a burgee thats travelled so few miles. Needless to say, hlb is point blank refusing to change it under warranty
