1696019485147.jpegMy mates in the old village tell me they’ll be trying tomorrow to tow the concrete ketch off Great Cob Island in Tollesbury Fleet. She’s been there two or three years or so, and remained fortunately unlooted, to the best of my knowledge. Impressive amount of mud has been relocated.

Might be a good gongoozling opportunity.

Do they have a tug or can a tractor reach the opposite bank? A portable fire pump and a hose could do a bit of hydraulic excavation to deepen the cut.

Nice to see they have recovered her , very handsome boat.
Suspect if she had been made of wood , that "wood" have been the end of her ?
It would have, but if the owner does not repair the boat and it gets abandoned somewhere, an organic material is easier to dispose of than this ferro stuff.
Several years "thermal recovery" in a domestic environment for instance.
I'm glad she was got off the island - well done the lads !
