Attention all yachtsmen, day boat sailors, and motor boat owners

I am in the process of developing a new technology which will change boat maintenance forever.

As boat owners you will all be familiar with the tedious job of anti fouling your boat. But I will soon be able to reduce this to a 10 minute job.

The plan is to essentially have a large vat of anti foul on a HIAB lorry The boat will be lowered into, thus giving a full and complete coat of anti foul on the entire under water area of the boat.

The system will be taken to various harbours and marinas around the coast allowing dozens of boats to be anti fouled in one day.

All that is needed to cope with the boot-topping is to ensure that the anti-fouling is immiscible and denser than water, and the boot-topping is also immiscible with water and lighter than water.

Then, all you do is put antifouling in the bottom of the tank, a layer of water, and then the boot-topping. Float your boat in the tank and hey-presto, antifouling on the bottom, a gap, and then boot-topping!

It might require some sort of temporarycoating round the water-line that is insoluble in water but soluble in anti-fouling and boot-topping.

Bags I a part of the royalties on the patent!

And I'd like mine done too. But a different colour. Aha. You never thought about that did you?

I will admit that initially that might be an issue but as we grow we will be able to invest in extra equipment allowing us to offer a range of colours.

Do you think that you will stock slime-effect cos I'm sure that's what my boatyard currently apply?

Would you allow me to stay aboard while you 'dip' my boat? I think I've found a way to score some free antifoul...If I get an empty drum...and fit a hose..I could pump the heads and....:D :D

No the health and safety issues aside, you are proposing to steal antifoul, so of course you would not be permitted to do that.

Do you think my underwater colour changing lights will be OK? :)

Depends what you mean by ok. Personally I don't think underwater colour changing lights are ever ok. But if you mean will they be affected by the anitfoul, no we have methods of protecting underwater fittings.
