If a boat has Copperbot antifoul, and it comes to surveying the water line for moisture, is it ok to scrape away the copperbot as they do with standard antifoul?

Is it easy to re apply to the damaged area?

I have not used Copperbot before so not sure how it is applied.

We Coppercoated Eos a few years back and I'd be pretty hacked off if anyone scraped it back! It takes best part of a week to cure, and if applied correctly, will only be put on a dry hull in the first place. And a moisture meter should work well through Coppercoat.

You cannot scrape away copper Antifoul unless it's not been applied correctly , copper antifould is copper powder mixed with epoxy resin , it's applied to a virgin grp prepared hull , consisting of many coats to make up a thickness so it lasts.
Hopefully up to 10 years or seasons boating before it needs a rest application.
When having a boat applied with copper coating the hull must be clean and dry of any damp, I've seen over the years far too many companies ( I won't state ) who literally apply it days after the hull has been blasted of its old paint the Antifoul , sanded, prepared and copper bit applied , the hull must be dry before this is fine otherwise the new AF wil trap any moisture in for life. Readings are often vague when you apply the moisture meter to a copper antifould boat. Check above the waterline , any boat will show some moisture but the higher you go the less moisture there should be unless there is a problem. Contact copper coat themselves for advice on reapplication should you find a boat that's got some areas missing, it can be repaired quite easily.

Mine had been treated (badly) with copperbot.
The surveryors report stated that moisture content values were not included as the copper treatment tended to affect the two readings, but values obtained were considered normal for an in service boat. Or words to that effect.
He didn't attempt to remove any of the coating.
