A nice day on the Orwell yesterday

Possibly if you try really hard and ridiculously over canvass the boat, that bit might go in the water? Looks unlikely on your boat as it has a nice bit of freeboard to keep the panels out of harms way.

I took one of my mates out in a F5/6 with a full main and jib up and had most of the deck awash with bits of seaweed hanging off the guard rails, the end of the boom almost in the water and quite a few of the floor panels had fallen out down below.....

'Does it lean over anymore?'.......

'Errr......no.....that's about it!'

He'd also brought the Sunday Times with him thinking he'd get a chance to read it.

Yep - fair bit of freeboard.
In over 7 years, taking the boat out in all sorts of conditions, we've only had water over the gunwhales just the once.
In 2008, the boat did a submarine impression and dove straight into an oncoming wave by Roughs Towers (F7 at the time).
