Firstly I would like to thank Brenden s, for letting me know about this site, and more importantly. I have just bought my new baby and I need a new home for her,she is a 26ft powerboat currently lying in Falmouth, and I would like to keep her around the solent, Ideally I would like to dry berth her or keep her on a "good value mooring" any ideas or costs.

Re: Dry Berths

Port Solent, north end of Portsmouth . Don't do a racking system, they lift from a trailer.

Re: Dry Berths

I'm confused. You've replied to Craig, but addressed the message to me.

I've already got a slot at Lymington, and I'm quite happy with what I pay - I've been there for several years.

I was just giving Craig a list of places where dry berths are available.

Re: Dry Berths

Strewth. What's it weigh!?

They can take up to about 29'ers there, so your's must be quite chunky. I suspect it's not the weight per se, rather where they can store it. All the ground racks are probably full, so maybe not able to put you onto the multi storey racks which have lower weight limits?

Re: Dry Berths

Well I didn't think it was that bad (reminds me of a saying that Ann said once)
She weighs 2278kg's,I think possibly I have given Mark at Lymington the wrong weight as I was given 2999kg..so maybe Iwill still be in luck

See yah

Re: Dry Berths

Rockley watersports cntr have a dry storage rack system. The also have on the deck storage for the bigger/heavier boats. Dunno what it cost though. Poole boat park also have on deck storage too. Dunno if that helps you much.

Re: Dry Berths

Thanks Barry
Have contacted them and awaiting details, seems that they can cope with the weight ok there, and she's not too large (or the boat) either, good price as well
