It was my first time taking a boat from Central Bristol. A real treat to pass the SS Great Britain and then Kaskelot! The muddy waters of the Avon wasn't that appealing, dodging large lumps of driftwood and other bits of debris. Extremely fast tides though as we navigated the Severn Estuary with full springs.

It was a great opportunity to fly the drone. A large deck was perfect for taking off from! The only trouble I hadn't quite acconted for was that when stopping the boat in the water, we still had 5 kts of tide - so landing a drone that flies using a gps was quite tricky!

A fabulous sunrise as we came between Lands End and Longships...

Jane Anne is truly unigue little ship! Lovely interior and a very comfortable live-aboard. Quite rolly though in a beam sea!

I hope you enjoy the film:

Great vid, conditions looked perfect.
For all these yacht deliveries you do, do you have many instances of mechanical failure, and do you normally insist that basic spares are onboard for your delivery trips ?

Thanks for all your comments!

She is a 38’ steel trawler, a one-off, designed by Jay Benford. Completed in 2013. Engines are 2 x Beta Marine 43hp. 5–6 kt cruising, each engine uses about 1 gallon per hour. Fuel is held in 4 tanks, total 300 gals.

Yes - we do insist on basic engine spares. I also carry some tools with me in case there isn't very much on-board. The trip was approximately 200 NM and it took 36 hours... Nice conditions for most of the way, but pretty lumpy around the Lizard!
