Yesterday was brilliant - spot of fishing in Barn Pool - the weather was great and the tides were right so we thought we (Myself, Anne - Arny and Sal) would take a bimble up to the crooked spaniard for a well deserved cold pint.

I'd just like to thank the f***ing **** that screamed past the quay in a 20'ish foot speedboat at approx 15 Kts at about 1630 causing mayhem as we were coming alongside.

The reults were not nice - happy to say that both boats remained unharmed but Arny is not too well - he has sprained his ankle and brokrn a metatarsle whilst trying to avoid damage to his boat. So we only managed the one quick pint.

Not only this we also had to go into his marina and help him back to his car (thanks for the assistance marina type people :)) so if any of you were wondering why someone was being taken along the pontoon's yesterday in a trolley you now know why....

Sorry to hear your tale.

I was seriously embarassed on Saturday. I see the regular debate on these fora about wash from inconsiderate mobos and believe that I always have consideration for others. However the same cannot be said of all our mobo brethren.

Saturday at around 13.30 a larger mobo owned by one of our own forumites raced through the Poole Harbour entrance by the chain ferry at at least 20 knots. Given that it was probably the busiest day of the year so far the chaos he caused was spectacular, not only that but it was bloody dangerous.

I saw all the raggies around looking justifably angry and just felt ashamed to be in a mobo.

I won't name and shame the forumite because there is just a possibility that they weren't on board.

It was capped later when at about 17.00 a Sealine F37 dashed into the harbour at warp speed narrowly missing 2 small sailing boats and then, when through the entrance, stopped dead in the middle of the channel.

Thanks for your words of anger. I could not have said it better myself!

I do have a broken foot so getting up the stairs to use the computer is difficult and so i am writing this on my phone (nokia N95) and as a result part two of our holiday report will be delayed /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I didnt see the wake until it was too late. I just saw a small wave so didnt think to remove my feet. Silly me.

Sorry to hear someone actually hurt by these inconsiderate barstewards.

Did you report to HM?
I am sure they would obligingly feel his collar and warn him about his future conduct.

Had a little sports boat tear through Lowestoft Haven on Sat pm. quick call on the vhf to harbour who admitted he was a problem and an incident report would be logged. he will learn sooner or later.
