50-50 on whether to add Sprayhood to my boat

I’m not sure why the aesthetics are of such importance.....lots of convertibles look odd with the hood up....but it’s not the point...the point is that when it’s dry the top goes down and it looks great. And when it’s wet, who cares...as long as you are dry

Its not only aesthetics ... but also whether the design blends with the sheets / halyards / lines used for sailing. My 25 always had a problem with genny sheets - the original tried to solve it by having velcro'd small panel each side ... useless. We modified that for the replacement.

I hope that being a bespoke original OUR design when it gets done here - we don't have too many 'errors' ...

My Seawolf 30 is like that. Mainsheet taken a bit further aft (Edit: on boom) so no problem at all. Going to do same on Fulmar.

mmmmmm
Hard to tell from that pic what your line of sight would be if sat in the companionway (tank commander position). Would you be able to comfortably see forward thru sprayhood windows or would your view be obstructed by the fabric above windows? Nice place to be sat during rain, with auto pilot on.

It strikes me that the fiberglass lip around the hatch roof, is made for fitting a spray hood

I've never been happy with 'hood windows' ... but I think 'tank commander' would be ok with this ...

TBH - whether it extends back or not - the fwd windows will not be much different ..
