316 stainless supplier?

I need a piece of 316 stainless flat about 50mm wide and 6mm thick and can only find it from Metals 4U where the cost is doubled by the P&P charge. Does anyone know a supplier on the south coast or nearby where I can pick a piece up?
If I was out on the boat in Marmaris I could just go down to the Saniye and buy a short length, but I need it here so that I can weld up a little fitting.

I have searched e-bay but can only find 304 grade in the size needed. What I really need is to find someone who does yacht stainless steel work, and has a supplier.

Bought some 316 stainless from Metals4U recently. The carriage they quoted was more than the cost of the metal, so I went to a local parcels firm who did the job for less than half the Metals4U quote.

You may find one of the Spar companies may be able to help you, certanly Sailspar (East Coast) and Eurospars (Plymouth) make fittings from Stainless, worth giving them a call. I know Sailspar make external tangs out of this type of stainless. Another company is Fox's Stainless (East Coast).

Stainless Steel Sections are cheap, have an excellent range, do 304 &316 and courier costs very cheap using Nightfreight. Good to deal with and rapid despatch. Bought round section, flats and box from them anD always been pleased with them. They also accept PayPal which I prefer to giving out my credit card details!
