26ft ish

The Fisher does look a lot more stylish than the LM, the interior flows better, easier on the eye to me.would be quite happy with the fisher.

Are you totally committed to the present berth and happy to let it dictate your boat choice?
Once motor sailers get to about 30ft, things change. You can sail indoors, and have an impressive aft cabin that will convince her in charge that it really is a good idea. Fishers roll... end of story - so it depends where you sail. Boats are cheap at the moment as those of us who thought we had assets have painfully become aware, so if you can spread some dosh you could get a lot for it. There are lots of boats that have serious engines and sheltered helms which you wouldn't normally class as motor sailers, but they do the biz. Think outside the box - as I think they say nowadays.

I have had a Fisher 25 for two seasons, and having finally aquired one I don't think I would change it -it suits me perfectly

Before I purchased one I was wary of the reports that they roll a great deal, but to be honest I just haven't experienced this in practice
So I wouldn't let that put you off

I could be wrong but I thought that the 25 had slightly finer lines than its bigger sisters making it a bit less prone to rolling. In any case in a 25 under power and with a beam sea, just rig the Mizzen as a steadying sail.

In my little motor sailor, setting even a small amount of Genny makes an amazing difference to the degree of roll in a beam sea
