Ahoy fellow Captains!
I'm new here but have a very important question...
I am considering to buy a 2011 Fairline 65 or Princess 64.
I like both of them and the price range is similar, so which one would be a be a better choice?

That's an almost infinitely impossible question. They are both fine biats so it's very much down to personal preference.

For me it would be the princess. I think there boats at that size are prettier but mainly I think the dealer/factory support is better.

I like the Princess more,
on a 2011 SQ65 I think you can't put the tender on the FB, !?
that would be a dealbreaker for me !
On our current boat I have both options for the tender; on the FB, or on the hi-lo platform,
and I would not want to miss none of these options !

You cannot put tender on top on the Princess 64 AFAIK. The only popular alternative with tender on the flybridge would be the Azimut 64, and on this was also an option.
Ferretti removed that when they replaced the 630 with the 631.

Between those two (Princess and Fairline) and of that vintage I would go for the 65 Squadron. I think Hermes was still putting peaces together.
Also the 64 was a development of the 62 (hi/lo extended bathing platform, and two cockpit entries from bathing platform) so in reality she is an older model.

.. and a new saloon layout, and a new galley layout, and a completely different flybridge, and a much better crew cabin. Same hull though as far as I know.

I think the choice will most likely come down to whether you want 3 cabins + crew or 4 + crew, as the other differences between the two boats are less significant.
