When you say 'up for grabs' do you mean lease for sale or available to rent and are we looking at normal arm and a leg type prices for the privilage of driving all the way round to Mountbattan?

I would imagine
they will be available for rent, it was reported on the tv news this evening that Sunsail are closing down their operations in Plymouth (Mount Batten). The excuse given from Sunsail is that people chartering their boats are not prepared to drive all the way down to the westcountry to go sailing….Did you ever hear such a load of bollkocs…

Its not really an arm and a leg .... well not whole leg!
580 quid for the winter, thats my 30' & the people are nice & I'm there
M3 on Saturday if you fancy a pint, or a cofee.

There is an ulterior motive... I never quite learned how to splice braid on braid & I need a demo......ohhh & I need someone to go to the top of the mast to fix my new wind unit....ohhh & the outboard needs a service

I've just booked Sweet Lucy in for the duration of the winter freeze - now someone is going to tell be its unsafe between Nov and Feb on account of tsunamis from Cawsand Bay.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am trying hard not to be pedantic, but I reckon these are marina type berths aren't they?
To me a mooring is a lump of something on the bottom with a riser to a buoy supporting some sort of bridle. The full term is "single point mooring" such as those just inside the Mount Batten Breakwater, or those dirty great things in the Sound to which the big RFAs tie up.
Sunsail, farewell. You won't be missed. Funny, though, that others do quite well here in your line of business.
