12 Volt Waterproof cable Connection

I have to replace the connection to my solar panels. Unfortunately, the connections are outside... I would have had the connections inside the boat but without wanting to complicate things what are you guys using these days to connect cables which are exposed to the elements?

MC4 connectors are the usual now for solar panels. Here is a kit of some connectors, the required crimping tool and the disconnect tool/spanner...
