Re: come on everyone!

erm, if england win, you have to pay out the fiver to the rnli. If ozzie wins, i have to pay out the fiver to the rnli.

actually i'm surprised that loads of them don't pile in. The fact that they don't shows that they have no intention of donating a fiver to the rnli anyway, dunnit?

I mean, if one was gonna give the rinli a fiver anyway, one could take the bet, cos if oz wins you pay the fiver to the rnli - which you mite do anyway.

WHEREAS if ingerlund win which they obviously will on account of hoofing it rather than pratting around with muddy running...then there is an excellent chance of witnessing claymore handing over praps even several thousand quid to the RNLI whilst all others sing english rugby songs, and this will be only a precursor to 30+ years of droning on and on about winning a world cup.

The book is closed

HAd a quick word with my pal Gus Demmy - turf accountant to the rich and famous - and he says I've given you all plenty of opportunity to place your bets and that I need to inform you all the the book is closed.
I feel so awful that we've collectively denied the RNLI countless thousands of your pounds - + my fiver.
Anyway, thats enough of that - think I'll go and bid some stupid sum on one of Wogans days out for Children in Need - perhaps there's a sauna with Fran Godfrey going for around £5K?

Who the hell is fran godfrey

Is it a he or a she? A boat designer? Sounds a bit like someone who would design wheelhouses, and let's face it, eventually someone ought to do so.

Meanwhile get your fiver ready.
