I am sure Gas Check Marine cover Lymington. I can highly recommend them. Regulations and "peace of mind" are two different issues and whilst insurance companies do not usually insist on gas certificates I am sure that in the event of a claim they would ask when the gas system was last...

Just a heads up that the tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster. There are various options including free tickets which give access to the Waterfront arena. I just booked for all 4 days but I think numbers are limited to 30000 per day so probably won't be there for long!

It is not Endeavour Quay that has gone bust. They are great. It is Endeavour Yacht Services who have ceased to trade.

Just a word of caution. Check that your preferred electrical contractor has appropriate insurance as your own policy will not cover you if you employ a contractor who is not insured!

Just looked at the hygiene ratings again and have to say that I am shocked to see that the Boathouse at Swanwick also only has 1 star!! It's quite deplorable.

Maybe it was good that you didn't eat there! Just noticed that Boathouse Gosport has just received a hygiene score of 1 star (major improvement necesssary) 5 star is top and most decent establishments achieve 4.

The smell of frying and old fat every time you walk past is enough to put anyone off. I am glad that our boat is moored on the far side of the marina!!
