    MD11C Stopped and wont restart

Probably wise . You may be able to mitigate some of your impending outlay by selling parts of the old Volvo. Apparently the exhaust elbow is as rare as 'UNOBTAINIUM'. Unc

    MD11C Stopped and wont restart

More likely that its the cold one that's the issue. The 100 degree one is probably lacking water due to it being pumped into the sump!! Further to my previous if the oily/water/fuel has been left to rest then it should be possible to see the separation into its constituant parts. Mine settled...

Nav Lights Bulb replacement Westerley Centaur c1979

Thanks refueler, my lights are on the side of the coach roof and are nearly visible on the centaur in your first photo next to your boat, but are obscured from clear view by a stantion. (Blast). I am guess that other have also mentioned that the innards are probably very degraded so new ones...

    MD11C Stopped and wont restart

About 8 years ago my MD2c was running fine but then started chucking horrible grey smoke and oily water out of the exhaust and run in a very laboured way but got me back the mile to my mooring, but sadly did not do the river environment any good . Next time to the boat it would not start. Got...

Nav Lights Bulb replacement Westerley Centaur c1979

Yes that would be sensible, Found out last night, no camera (yes I do not have a mobile phone). Boat on mooring will possibly get out to her in a couple of days. Thanks for the interest I'll post picture of the offending item in due course. Unc Centaur 1702, bit older then yours then

Nav Lights Bulb replacement Westerley Centaur c1979

Well I guess it had to happen its only been 52 years! The green light is not working. Anyone know how the nice shiny chrome original lights facilitate changing the bulb? Cannot see any fixing or lens cover attachment outside and hoping its not a demolition job inside. What does the panel...

Cruise video. Felixstowe Ferry to the Blackwater August 2020

What an excellent video. Many thanks for sharing especially the Tollesbury bit. I used to sail ( badly ) a Merlin Rocket out off of Tollesbury Hard and the wind always seemed to be on the nose in order to get down the creek and all those big posh yachts did not seem to understand how difficult...

    Anchoring off Osea Island

I have been given to understand that the reason the SH buoy off Osea is called The Doctor is that supplies of beer etc were delivered and tied submerged to a buoy in that area at High Water whereupon the 'inmates' at low water took exercise to recover their 'medicine' . Undoubtedly they...

    Anchoring off Osea Island

What a great video. In my 40 something years living on the north bank of the Blackwater I never knew the extent of the Islands;' development. I knew a little of its ww1 and ww2 history, and its Charrington inception . This video gives a great understanding and is very good indeed. Thank you...

We hate PWC, thank goodness we don't have lots of these.

Would be so nice for it to bury itself in the glutinous bed of the Blackwater, never to be seen or heard of again. Unc

Has your East Coast river become a lawless free for all this year?

A pleasure to see a Pol;ice launch on the Blackwater today, and guess what all the Romford Navy Mob were behaving themselves from Heybridge to Osea until they (Police) were about a mile away then it was back to 'normal'. in many instances. It seems an impossible task unless a Police launch is...

    Bradwell B Nuclear Power Station

David I think you are correct in your assessment. I consider your views normally measured and it takes something to get me to tap away and you achieved it there. Takes a good man to clear the air, so well done you . I recognise that we need power and oit is surely better to screw up one...

    Bradwell B Nuclear Power Station

Being a Romford lad many many years ago I have been a townie but since then lived for many years in Tollesbury, I can state that you should believe that people do want to live in the country just to be away/removed such things that towns offer. There is a long long list of other reasons I do...

    Bradwell B Nuclear Power Station

Just a thought anyone know how tall the existing Bradwell 'blocks are? If the cooling towers are 50-60 metres high that's 160-180 olde english feet, shoul dbe able to navigate by eye to the Blackwater from Southwold.................Result!!!! Unc
