Who has seen the highest tide today?

Don't talk to me about cranes! Had it booked for the club's annual lift in on Tue. Too windy, postponed a day. Still too windy today, so now postponed till May...

Warning from VisitMyHarbour about Marine Navigator

I had the Google "not activated" message, but it went away if there was no internet (no Wifi or mobile data) when starting the app, But I can't say how reliable that solution is - the message may come back. What VMH don't explicitly say is that you need to pay again for the non-Google version...

Surely lifting keel boats have a much greater chance of getting unstuck from west coast mud than bilge keels?

Yes, the Parker 31, 325 and 335 have lifting wing keels. PSSA > For Sale > Parker 325/335

    Navionics Web API not working

That's the API that I was using which is no longer working. The Get API key page (Web Api Download) says "The Web API service is currently unavailable".

    Parker 21 Keel Apprehension...

Well, maybe a bit easier when afloat. But other things to check: 1. Early 21s had a 4 to 1 purchase (2 blocks on the keel), later ones went up to 6 to 1 I think. 2. Do the blocks still go round? They may be old tufnol blocks with plain bearings; new blocks with roller bearings are better. 3...

    Parker 21 Keel Apprehension...

No, the keel can't be locked down. That is possibly a safety issue if the boat is ever rolled. It would be possible to put a horizontal rod through the case, but it would be close to the waterline. Mine has a wire strop and s/s bar to take the weight when the keel's lifted, so the uphaul rope...

    Navionics Web API not working

Thanks, Bilgediver, but it's not their website I'm talking about but the underlying technology that lets web pages add a Navionics layer to maps.

    Navionics Web API not working

To re-open an old thread... The Navionics web api still isn't working for us but I've noticed it does still work on some sites; eg. Lake of the Woods and iNew Ross Marina I've looked at the page source and network calls for these sites and can't see a substantial difference from the way we do...

    NASA wind masthead unit

I need a replacement NASA masthead wind unit - the old 5-wire one with a DIN connector - as mine is now at the bottom of Cardigan Bay, And NASA are out of stock, maybe permanently. I don't need the 10m cable. Any condition is fine as they're pretty easily repairable, Thanks Geoff

    Parker 21 Keel Apprehension...

Congratulations on your new boat! I'm the owner of no 18. 1. There are (should be!) nylon blocks at the front and back of the bottom of the centreboard case. These prevent the keel dropping out as they are narrower than the sliders on the keel. It's possible the rear one has been broken as it...
