I have just set up my new AIS receiver with a plug-in Wi-Fi transmitter. After following the NMEA to Wi-Fi configuration setup instructions I now have AIS signals displaying on the Marine Navigator app on my Android tablet.
I am not suggesting this is the best piece of kit, just sharing a low cost option
Receiver:- dAISy 2+ Dual-channel AIS Receiver with NMEA 0183 output for £95 (arrived in 24hours!)
WiFi transmitter https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...der_detail.order_detail_item.4.4aeaf19c6HCMiX for £4 (it took 8 days to arrive)
They both run from the single power supply: either a USB (using the supplied cable) or 12v (using the socket supplied)
(No connection with the above suppliers, just a customer.)
