Problem fitting jabsco regular toilet seat

Hello all, Just bought Jabsco regular toilet to replace our old (very!) unit. All fine until fitting the seat/lid assembly. The new arrangement has an offset bolt to allow for seat centralisation and fore/aft position. However, we are still unable to get the (wooden) lid and seat to...

Navionics SD Cherbourg/ N France faulty cartography

Hi Solent Cruiser. Thank you for your clear step by step instructions to remove the ”red mist” on french charted waters from navoinics. Following our chart update we were dismayed to encounter the problem. We were advised to change it in “Chart Settings” which option did not exist on our C95...

    Gas cooker

Hi michael_w. Thanks for your input. The engineer has confirmed gas pressure is fine and there is nothing wrong with our installation. He seems to think the oven thermostat is to blame. If the oven is turned down we have a blue flame but if then turned up quickly we get yellow flames and...

    Gas cooker

No idea, but the 3 hob burners plus grill all work brilliantly even when all are on together so I would expect the pressure to be ok The supplier is sending a gas engineer …hopefully very shortly!

    Gas cooker

Hi Daverw, the 6mm gas feed is on the high pressure side before the regulator. All the rest is 3/8 copper except for the final flexible on to the cooker itself. All so frustrating- the three hob burners are great, the grill is brilliant, the oven burner is very scary..

    Gas cooker

Many thanks everyone. Have contacted the cooker supplier who is organising a gas engineer to examine it. Had to fit new regulator to ensure as michael_w wrote that there was no problem there. However sadly this did not do the trick.. Whilst doing all this checking thought might as well update...

    Mahogany?

Seasoned Iroko. Claude Whisstock used this for keel sections, stems etc. etc. Very strong and durable. Use sharp tools ! And keep them sharpened throughout I do not recommend mahoghany- if you have a struggle to fit i.e. bolting etc it is prone to split. Iroko is immensly tough - in the sense...

    Hotpot problem

Ithet- thank you for your input. Fantastic !…we dismantled the Jabsco to discover the pulsation dampers completely useless and virtually turned inside out. We presume that the pressure switch, as you say, has been over pressuring the system. We have replaced the pump and now, hurrah, no...
