Hi
We may have a crew member later this month who'll be 8 months pregnant. Weekend plan is only Portsmouth - Chichester and back.
Obvious precautions such as not doing any rope pulling and always wearing a life jacket etc are a given.
Her main concern is getting on and off the boat -...
I have a Yeoman plotter I no longer need now I've sold my boat.
It came from eBay and I'm not sure it works so can't sell it - but if you want to try or are handy with a soldering iron then the only thing you have to lose is some petrol to Chichester to collect as I'm not going to the trouble...
Re: Mad Max hit \'n\' run -THE LATEST
Well this hasn't been a dull post has it?
First let me express my regret at using the word 'scum' - it was used due to frustration, clearly has not helped me and has generally been inferred as being more offensive than intended.
Anyway - BIG THANK YOU...
Re: Mad Max hit \'n\' run - photos
Well excuse me for not being a perfect human being.
Yes, when someone does something to upset me I can get angry. If someone crashed their car into you would you get out smiling calling him 'mate' ? No, I expect you'd be somewhat annoyed.
I'm not ranting and...
Re: Mad Max hit \'n\' run - photos
We had a video camera out for the Tarfalgar 200 stuff.
I also have enough experience to know you cannot fend off a 30 ton boat in a 2 knot tide and 28 knots of wind.
Especially as they made no effort to contact us I'm extremely glad we have it on video, as...

No, I guess it wouldn't have. If a nice J class yacht had drifted into his pulpit, methinks rogerroger would've put it down to experience but there's definitely more than a hint of mobo v yottie here

Why are you guys trying to stir this...
Re: Mad Max hit \'n\' run - photos
Getting bored of writing this - EVERYONE on both boats could see damage straight away.
I never wrote that we didn't know there was damage until we got back...
Re: Mad Max hit \'n\' run - photos
We did see the damage instantly - there was a lot a crunching, scraping and bending metall!
I only stated that the extent of the damage had to be assessed by a surveyor.
Re: err small technical point
Yeah - pushpit and pulpit - I'll never get those the right way around! Should have just written 'metal rails' at the pointy bit...

The more I read your posts the more you sound like an ambulance chaser.
As said before, YOU didn't realise there was any damage untill you got back to your berth so how should he? It was an ACCIDENT. Use your insurance, that's what you pay for. They will do the running around...
hi JMF
Well I'm no lawyer and don't want to get into a debate - and also, want nothing more than to sort this amicably - but without finding them it's a bit hard.
Anyway, say I was driving my car near your house and I reversed into your car or fence or any other part of your property. I'd then...
Re: Mad Max hit \'n\' run - photos
Indeed - have never stated there was anything deliberate. It's the not stopping / responding on VHF / contacting us that's the point.
