Worth checking the settings, esp the user configurable ones if the unit lost power when you chagned the fuses - maybe it's done a factory reset. If that all looks ok maybe do a factory reset yourself. Hint - take a note of the settings before doing anything so you can re-instate, don't ask how I...
I recently had 15mm perspex washboards fitted. Changed the configuration from 2 to 3 and had handles fitted on inside as well as a vent with fly screen. Generally happy with them and very glad I reduced their size and have the handles, as they are fairly heavy. If I was doing it again I would...
I'm just fitting a cheapy analogue hours run meter to my Beta14. Can anyone confirm which terminals on the stop/heat/start/run switch i should connect the +ve and -ve cables to?
I have decided to fit this to duplicate the panel display as with advancing years it gets harder to bend down to read...
KDD Powercentre may be worth a look. Seem to do custom panels as well as direct/updated replacement panels for Westerlies and Sealine. Always found them very helpful, knowledgable and friendly.
Lots of very useful info at Harwich Harbour Authority's web site. Head for "leisure" then "Yachting Guide 2023". Not a substitute for charts, Almanacs, pilot etc. but very useful. They used to post them out if you ask.
Worth checking any other connections as well, at the panel for instance. Many years ago I found corrosion at the panel end that meant only a couple of strands were in contact, so got 12v at the foot of the mast which disappeared when load was applied.
According to the WSC website using the outer pontoon is time limited, need to use the inner sides for an overnight (also restricted to 2 nights). They also have a depth chart but it's a bit out of date, now.
i suggest you speak to Hawkhouse in Gosport. They can supply all your headlining needs incl. pre-made/stitched pieces bespoke to Westerly's and they are helpful, friendly people. Used them quite a few times over the years and always been impressed.
From memory the instructions (some years ago) ask about the rudder movement not which way the boat/tiller move. Took some time to realise the easy error of answering the question was about the RUDDER movement. Maybe the instructions are different on later models.
If the spill pipe is returned to the off engine filter and not the tank any air can recirculate no matter how much you bleed it. Reverse/return bleeding can remove the air, don't ask how i know!!
