Thats a lovely spinaker you have, 110m2 is it?
Thanks for my weeks sailing in May, had a great time and next time I'm over I will catch a bigger fish then you!
Cheers
Thanks for the link, I've got 7 flights to make in 5 weeks so this should hopefully fill up some time
I don't know any other audio book titles that are free, but if I come across any I will let you know
Cheers

according to sky tv the verminators program, rats start to smell at 3 to 4 days dead, hit the worst around the 5 days, then the shrivel up and stop smelling after around 10 days
Wouldn't like to put this to the test though

I was once talking to a lady who was very pregnant (not my doing) and we was talking about baby names I made some quib about calling my daughter to be sunshine (my wife was preggers) and we both laughed... then she said my other daughter is called moonbeam... I suddenly had somewhere to go
There is no problem with me paying for a leg or two, other then using up my holidays and the Mrs will want a holiday to match
Just thought I could do some good, have a good time and experience something new.
Not sure how my employer will react if I ask for 2 months off... I suspect I'll be...
Yes I've thought about doing the first 2 legs still considering that... that would be just a holiday
Well I guess you could argue that anyone doing any charitable event such as this is doing it for a free holiday. My hope was to find a good cause to raise awareness for at the same time, I'm...
I view it as two options, fill it with soft stopping as advocated by seanick or the clamping and glueing by Kathleen, both have there merits and I'm not sure which is best, but I'm not the owner of the boat but I'll keep you posted!
Cheers

Is it better to have your whole electrics onboard geared towards 12/24v or 110/240v with inverter?
I was under the impression you wasted a lot of energy just running through the inverter? Whats the pros and cons?
Andy
Its not square rigged, I'm not altergether sure of how these boats are classified, other then I know there is a minimum length. I'd prefer to be on a more traditional square rigged boat and anyone with details of alternative ships entering I'd be happy to hear about, but happy to just take part...
for some reason I am drawn to rough weather... dunno there is something about the hard times making the good times even better!!!
I'll let you know how I feel when I've got more sea time under my belt and been through some rough patches
Andy
Thanks very much all, yet another success for the YBW forumn )
p.s. Kathy, what ever varnish you've been using send some my way... sailing in the 1950's!!! you must of only been a twinkle in your daddies eye...
I'm not sticking up for them, as I am totally against drugs other then a bit of grog (without the water) don't u think they would of been better scuttling the boat and pleading ignorant?
Perhaps they thought they wouldn't chase them?
They deserve all they get.
