    Azimut 68 vs Ferretti 72

Sorry, I have almost no experience on similar size traditional hull boat- only sea trials on calm days?

    Azimut 68 vs Ferretti 72

84 feet LOA. Triple IPS 1200’s (900hp). As for IPS costing more in the end, you may be correct but we save E15,000 a year on fuel. Barnacles haven’t been an issue yet, but in full disclosure we lost a steering seal 2 months ago. Volvo covered on their extended warranty (5 years) but it was a P!TA.

    Azimut 68 vs Ferretti 72

Agreed. Actual molded waterline length is 23.90m. Length from bow including swim platform is 25.84m or 84 feet.

    Azimut 68 vs Ferretti 72

You may be correct but I believe the picture is of a Delta 54 hull. Only providing our experience with over 22,000NM in the past 4 years.

    Azimut 68 vs Ferretti 72

I think the comparison is reasonably fair for IPS versus shaft flybridge boat performance since all 3; the Azi, Ferretti and Delta are about the same unladen weight.

    Rodman 41with IPS.

I am a multi year lurker, not a poster, mostly because I have limited boating knowledge and a narrow range of experience - except perhaps when it comes to pods. Over the past 8 years I have owned 2 pod driven boats and between them have over 2,300 hours and over 30,000nm. During these 8 years...

    Italy for next winter 2020

We berthed at Porto di Pisa in July of 2017. We are 25x6 And there were bigger boats than us.

    Volvo QL interceptor malfunctions

Most likely the gears inside the interceptor. Not repairable. Over 5 years and 700 hours I had to replace 4 of them. Finally had enough and installed Zipwakes this year. So far extremely pleased.

A question for anyone familiar with teak refitting

In Florida I was recently quoted $53,000 for a 13m boat with approximately 25 sqm. of deck. Teak is 14mm thick.

The Refit of a Delta 88 Carbon Sport Yacht/Superyacht

We typically cruise at 27kn using 10 liters/nm. I defer to your experience on the flybridge. In 2 years we have never opened the glass roof or even their shades. Wasn’t able to spend much time in SoF, boat transport was late and I had some conflicts. Hope to be back in 2020 or 2021.

The Refit of a Delta 88 Carbon Sport Yacht/Superyacht

Very pleased with the boat and their support. 850 hours and 15,000nm. Past summer went from SoF to Greece. Plan for next summer is Bodrum, Greek Isles and up the Adriatic. Buy again- definitely, but you are right on the hardtop! Posting pictures above my pay grade

The Refit of a Delta 88 Carbon Sport Yacht/Superyacht

The Delta at Berthon is Hull #1 with almost 60,000nm and 3,000 hours in 5 years. Remarkable amount of use.
