    :-)

It's a Man's World How many men does it take to open a beer? - None. It should be opened by the time she brings it. Why is a Laundromat a really bad place to pick up a woman? - Because a woman who can't afford a washing machine will probably never be able to support you. Why do women...

Nice clean teakwith no grey silver bits

Re:No hard work! I thought the received wisdom was a high concentration of Oxalic Acid did a good cleaning job, and that teak oil should never be used unless you wanted a lifetime's repetiitive applications... A man and his boat do not need to be justifed....

S***ine's - imho they are horrible!

Re: I do NOT understand .....and further, I started my whole damned first ever chat room experience telling how I was buying a Sealine F43 when I got shafted! Glad I know more now, tho..... A man and his boat do not need to be justifed....

S***ine's - imho they are horrible!

Re: What happened here? Now Kim, I'm the one who had the boat show "experience" with Sealine, and it was, repeat was, both genuine and embarassing and its the sort of experience I want others to know about for several reasons. 1) We do not act like this to our customers 2) the person I was with...

    Trip to Venice...

Our trip to Venice was a success. SHMBO was greatly encouraged. She thought those black pointy tenders about the right length. Having a chair on them was a good idea, and having singing as we went calming, but why didn't they put two of those paddles on the back for better stability while...

    (Air) Pilot Wisdom

And from the Antipodes: 1. Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory. 2. If you push the stick forward, the houses get bigger. If you pull the stick back, they get smaller. That is, unless you keep pulling the stick all the way back, then they get bigger again. 3. Flying isn't...

    Sealine's

Re: Sealine\'s For some strange reason, Sealine was always my first choice of starter boat. I nearly bought a 300 hr F43 but the survey soured me slightly against them. (Engine problems in the end). Not enough to put me off, but subsequent sour contacts with sour salesmen and a really sour SIBS...

    Quick straw poll 3#

Now there’s one I’ve been a-pondering – concluded Princess for Flybridges, especially the 61, except for beautiful Fairline 52 – Fairline for sportsboats; especially Targa 43, which I confidently predict will be an all time classic...... And New Zealand’s Lindaur Reserve for the last straw...

    New Marina on Thames?

She lives at Trafalgar Way - the new pontoons are adjacent. Seems like south of the island. Perfect location, theres a small collection of river boats, barges around the corner. The place was deserted. Waiting for customers? Can't give you any more info, but wanted to contact the owners to see...

    New Marina on Thames?

Any of you know about those very new, unused finger pontoons on the Thames, big ones look like they will take 50 footers, about 6 of them so probably 14 berths, just under Canary Wharf, next to the little wharf & marina - don't know the name, but saw them their while visiting daughters flat, and...

    I Can't Belive It's Not Butter...

Dashes and things.... .....On that point about walnut dashes - its all a matter of taste. The black glass (that's what it is I believe, not Carbon Fibre) on the T43 looks just as pretentious IMHO, and coloured panels for those who don't like wood (ala BMW's dashes) look worse.. Maybe the move...

    Red Diesel

So the Brussell's Bandits say red diesel has to rise by 9% or more in the UK - its so we can have cleaner EU tractors, see. (?) And cleaner fishing boats, and therefore more expensive fish, too. Perhaps Mucky Farter might have to be sanctioned......
