Warrenty period is years, it sounds like the resister/switch in the controller is at fault. When the light goes out does the heater go into its cool down cycle? if so the fault is in the switch and needs replacing.

When was the last oil change? I have seen this problem on several diesel emgines and like has been said before sticky control rack but cleared with some good flushing oil run through the engine.

Thaks but I don't think it is them, I have 2 Lewmar hatches to replace or repair, 500x500 and 420x500, Lewmar are the only ones that make the smaller hatch and you all know the price there. The company I am looking for I think only repaired not manufactured.
