Cheers Dave, don't get me wrong here, there is nothing off beam about using Google calendar and the system you have put in place - it is perfectly fit for purpose! What I was, and it seems others, were concerned with was whether or not it was actually working or not. It seems working yes /...
Thanks Sixpence :thumb:
More than none or are they waiting until winter in August??
I will keep a look out - hopefully something will apear soon no matter how big or small..
It looks like we crossed over there...all I get is a blank calendar too :-(
I have experimented with a wordpress calendar plug-in recently which seems to work well and could be less restrictive than the Google option, I wonder if this may be a better alternative for the website you are...
Great stuff, really looking forward to seeing it TE...
A quick search http://www.saileastcoast.co.uk/ and from your website http://www.eastcoastrivers.com/, I'm guessing that neither are the site you are refering to though I will eagerly anticipate the link when it's ready.
Thanks for your reply..
I tried the link that does not require a log in then tried my own Google log in details assuming this is a colabrative calendar. Both led me to blank calendars
It would seem that most posters in this thread are having the same issue as me so I...
Hang around and read the East Coast forum, all will be revealed.
Interestingly this is my third attempt to access the calendar without sucess...am I fighting a loosing battle trying to infiltrate some secret underground club or has this thread just received an unjustified sticky??
Great News!
It does seem to make a huge difference how quickly you find out that something has happened. Assuming the thieves are intent on taking your boat then I guess you stand the best chance of preventing or retrieving it in the first few hours of them breaking in. This may well of been...
Makes the thief suspicious? Suspicious that the boat is fitted with a High-Tec security system? Surely that’s not a bad thing!
If you are worrying that if the thief knows the boat has an alarm and is therefore going to rip the system out, then don’t. By the time they have got their hands on it...

Yes I am pretty sure we are talking about the same mark. You can see the mark I am talking about at www.microvise.com/images/iris.jpg
I now get the idea why it is there. It’s just a shame that they hadn’t come up with a more elegant solution like putting the magnet bars off centre.

My compass and the others I have seen are about 2 weeks old. I think it could well be a duff batch as it was on special reduced to £39.99.
The offending mark can even be seen on the pictures of the compass on their website.
For a quick look goto www.microvise.com/images/iris.jpg

Anybody who has purchased a Plastimo Iris 50 Compass will probably find what looks like a small circle of metal super-glued to the compass card. This by now has probably turned a horrible green colour.
For such a nice to use and overall aesthetically pleasing compass I feel that this really...
Can anyone please confirm that the reason some chart depths are underlined is because they are not covered by water during the LAT. Thanks Nick

How about installing a small box on your boat that would send, on request, information relating to the local weather conditions. The information would be transmitted to the owners mobile as a text message.
The box would be connected to and use your existing weather sensors such as Anemometers...
