I don't understand why you find it necessary to anti foul props and shafts. I have never done so and haven't had any fouling whatsoever. My boat doesn't get heavy usage. Last year i only completed 40 hours.

Nah, the fouling begins almost immediately and has a serious impact on performance. The loss in fuel consumption is worth considering.

yes, i think it is very important. It is easy to spot neglected hulls after just a couple of years. The lustre is missing particularly on blue hulls.

Remove the inflatable or re position it!

I tried IPS on a Fiord for the first time and it was superb, easy to use and made berthing a doddle even in very confined quarters.

The Manhattan 50 (now 52) was about £590k in 2005 fully kitted. Today it is £850k!

Just a further thought; boat prices have soared over the last few years well ahead of inflation so maybe the boat manufacturers will get a reality check.

Whilst it is very sad to see substantial redundancies announced at Sealine and Fairline it is also interesting that MBY reported in the November issue that "the orders were still piling in" at the Southampton Boat Show. This sounded like nonsense at the time and has now been proven to be so. Why...
