    Plastimo roller furling.

Had a similar issue this year too. Top set were solid but all freed up and working well now. I was expecting plastic too and was surprised to see steel when we eventually opened the stuck top swivel cover. Could you post the source for the bearings? Might be a winter maintenance job.

    Rambler crew rescue

One guy was able to get on upturned hull without going in the water. Would the rest of the crew have been able to get back on if he wasn't there to help them up? Might have been very different outcome if all 21 were in the water.

    Upgraded

Could the colour difference be that there is a panel removed on the starboard side to access wiring? Congrats on the new purchase.

    Question from the other side.

If a TSDY had a bowthruster could you make it move sideways? Reeverse port engine, forward starboard engine makes the stern go to starboard. then bow thruster to move bow to starboard?

    Volvo D3-130 not Charging battery

It's charging at the moment so I'll try this. If it is a duff battery should I still have lost power to the instruments with the engine running(charging)?

    Volvo D3-130 not Charging battery

Hi, On a Rodman 810 with twin D3-130's the domestic battery doesn't seem to be charging. It's not my boat and the it's new to the owner so I'm not sure of the electrics setup. It seems that all the domestic stuff, bilge pump, windlass and instruments are run off the domestic battery and the...

    Fastnet Yacht capsizes off Baltimore

From various news reports in Ireland I had gathered the rig was cut away before she was righted so presumably the rig is still there on the seabed. Maybe they'll recover that too. Rambler 100 is now in Baltimore and proving to be a bit of a tourist attraction.

    Fastnet Yacht capsizes off Baltimore

I was surprised that the liferafts didnt deploy once it capsized. Is it normal for them to need to be manually deployed?

    Fastnet Yacht capsizes off Baltimore

Rambler 100 has been towed to shelter of barley Cove/ Brow head. Plan is to assess the damage today. So how do you recover it? Assuming the 40m mast is still intact and very little balast to keep it upright once they get it right way up. Do you need a floating crane or is there a simpler method?

    Overheating Volvo Challenge

The pipe pierced with holes getting blocked is a common problem and cause of overheating with 200x engines. Some people drill these holes larger to prevent overheating bt the first step would be to check it and unblock the holes.

    engine heel angle

Will pulling the stop control damage the engine? Or do you just mean that the owner always just stops the engine once there's an alarm?
