Try running 'First Aid' on the SD card. I had a issue with an Irma chart card in my Axiom and that solved it.

    Strange rope wear

Thanks all. Abrasion seems to be the most likely. I'll have another look tomorrow when I go back to the boat.

    Strange rope wear

After a winter with not too many storms on the Clyde my mooring lines have gone fluffy. Is this purely down to wear or is there some reaction between the rope and the rubber? The line underneath is the same rope.

How do I make things seize up a bit?

There was no discernible difference over about 3 three years of use. If you look at that website you will see that they do a range of thicknesses.

How do I make things seize up a bit?

You can get special "thick grease" eg NyoGel 767A – Newgate Simms I have used this on a castering nose wheel on a light aircraft to damp out excessive movement. It's thicker than treacle but does lubricate.

    Divine intervention for Jenneau?

I've just been watching the Planetsail review of Boot2023 on youtube. The new Jenneau SO55 has a Lat /Long on its bow. I looked it up and it is La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. A bit of a strange connection or am i missing something?

Theoretical question, Cape Wrath to Ayr

My routing software says 275nm if you go west of Skye, east of Coll and west of Islay. Non stop at 3kts average that would be 92hrs. At 4 kts it comes down to 69 hours. Going east of Skye and west of Mull only drops the distance by 7nm. Going east of Skye and Mull and using the Crinan Canal...

Haverfordwest paddleboard deaths - MAIB report published

4 kts is difficult to visualise but if you know that 2 kts = 1 metre per second it becomes much easier.
