Three months in Greece ... say - if it's still there!

It's just a fledgling idea so please don't get the big guns out just yet. I am thinking of spending the winter of 2012/2013 in the Med. on my/a boat. I don't really want to talk about the issues of living aboard or family or finance. I want to know what you have to say about; - what legal...

    Considering sailing around Britain?

Well, it's an idea but I still haven't forgotten how high the sea was getting over here in the first place! Which I could not have managed without you. Thanks again for that.

    deposing the skipper

No experience to offer but interested in the legal side if anyone knows. Particulalry where a crew would stand if they'd clapped the skip in irons for the safety of all only to then be involved in a collision!

Its confirmed - I'm a grumpy and pompous old man

Waving to everyone you see in and around a place a busy as Plymouth Sound can be exhausting ... but I still do it! Further out I'll even enter the details in my log. Soon I'll be waving bye-bye and I hope I get some responses. Those that don't return the wave but do stare can be unsettling. I'm...

Marina charges - encouraging stay-at-home sailing?

Yeah but, no but ... Why can't i go into a marina in say, June and agree a year from that date? and get the lower, anual rate. I know they can do what they like and I can take it or leave it but is this so unreasonable?

Tiller Pilots - What're they like to use in practice?

Came late to this thread - havn't read the whole thing but had to say, When we finaly tried out the Autohelm that came with the boat it transformed our sailing. Much more relaxed for everyone. Yes, I worry about battry too but figure that as long as the engine start battery is charged I can...

Marina charges - encouraging stay-at-home sailing?

Many of you are lucky enough to live close to where your boat is parked and that's great. Many of us however, live where several harbours are just about as near or far away. In my case I even have a choice of East, South or West coast at similar distances. Putting aside the obvious high (and...

    Nasa Marine - Great service

Just thought it was only right to report on my experience with the guys at NASA Marine following my recent post about my Clipper Wind problem. Some forumites were not expecting me to get much help but I have to set the record straight. I couldn't be happier with the help and service I recieved...
