Some development project: the accommpanying photograph shows the 112 ft.vessel and indicates a top speed of 43 knots [with third engine]!

My boat has a grease dispenser on the tubing which contains the rudder post. Does anyone know if there should be packing inserted in a similar fashion to that positiioned in the stuffing box? Please note that responses relating to the manafacturer would be redundant. Thank you, John G

A search of this site has produced a a detailed response from Eberspacher to a customer which recommends that these heaters be run once a month; does anyone know why? Thank you, John G
