I need to find out quickly hence post here in case someone knows.
I will search whilst this thread posts, but do you know?
The RYA examiner is just £140 I believe. So you pay him to come on board and test you on yachtmaster coastal?
Does boat need coding?
What does that require and how much...
Assuming 2 boats of equal length, which would be the better boat in terms of:
a) Seaworthiness
b) Liveaboard-ness (if you see what I mean - spacious etc)
c) quality of construction (slight tie-in to (a) I guess). A lot of Colvics were home finished.
I do not know either boat very well.
Or can...

Thank you.
Expensive cleaning products but as a chemist you'll know whether they are worth it or not. (It's not just Fairy liquid is it?)
Very worrying to think a 'rubber' boat may outlive me - maybe they make good boats - maybe I should lead a healthier life style
I think your point is very good. After having done some digging all I can turn up is wash and dry, no talk of French Chalk, but not folding up seems very sensible, thanks.
Wish I had the space though - perhaps I'll try rolling it instead of folding though.
This site seems quite good for...
As well as a repair to make...
The boat is wet and salt encrusted. Obviously I will wash it and dry it.
But what then?
Some places sell spray stuff. Required?
Is it the case that you should use FRENCH CHALK or is that very old hat and only suitable for real rubber and not Hypalon.
I'm looking for some glue to repair an old tender.
Some places sell a tube of "adhesive" http://www.marinescene.co.uk/product/2059/polymarine-grey-hypalon-repair-kit
Other sell a 2 pack (tin plus catalyst) Still made by Polymarine surprisingly.
Which should I buy? Why do Polymarine make two...
Lack of manners
Your opinion - fine.
But keep it in the lounge.
Good manners should prevent you from ruining someone's advert for a sale, but maybe you didn't realise that was the point I was making.
There are lots of terrible things for sale - do I jump in and shout "Hey mate, that's a load...
Yeah, thanks for that...
It is a DVD not a CD (in case anyone should be led astray by your comment and attribute it with any credence)

And I thought it was pretty good. Very useful for a novice and even for someone like me...
I took a cheap pair in to my local optician and asked if he'd test them for me to see if they really did offer UV protection, which he did as a favour. (Because, as you say, fake sunglasses merely enlarge the pupil and let more radiation in)
