As for live weather info the best thing you can do is ring local kayak shop on the lake at bowness ask for Joe he will be only too pleased to give you a weather report, also there website has some info on
As others have said in the south all you have is.....
fell foot park (will have to pay for parking)
the swan at newby bridge (may have to pay)
in the north you have....
public car park at ambleside (will have to pay for parking)
low wood watersports centre (probably have to pay)...
I think that looks a tidy boat, wouldnt worry too much about the holes there easily sorted. Who cares about there being a newer paint job if you like that one then I would have a punt at £8 K and prob be happy to pay £8.5K. The merc engine is also pretty bulllet proof and fairly economical...
Abso bloody lutely buy now. Prices will be way lower than in the spring /. summer and in todays market you should bid hard very hard cos nothing much selling.

Glad it helped, The cuddy is only small, you climb in a bit like a two man tent really but its cosy warm and great great fun. We allways refer to boating in a cuddy as camping rather than caravaning in a cruiser. Way way more fun to camp in fact we still do once a year just for the sheer...
We had a Bayliner 1952 classic cuddy (19') for a couple of seasons and managed fine with the two of us and our then 10yr old daughter. In spring and summer it was very comfy cosy for me on the floor under the canopy. Cant see any reason why a cuddy wont work for you with two teenegers they will...
