    All season tyres

I've just splashed £800 for four new Cross-Climate 2's (about 2 hours ago) to replace my existing Cross Climates. The tyres wore evenly and would have given 40K without issue if someone hadn't left a piece of metal on the ground. The new ones are apparently even better and, if not class...

Itinerary for a week's charter from St Vincent needing to be in Mystique on Thursday...

Bequia (Admiralty Bay) briefly for an overnight at anchor. Tobago Cays, Mustique, Bequia again , this time Friendship Bay, back to St. Vincent. Scheduled was determined by need to be in Mustique on Wednesday for a Birthday party and, much to my surprise by a desire to watch football matches...

    Female Yacht Owners

I amazed that so many people know who actually owns other people's yachts. It's never occurred to me to ask and I wouldn't consider it any of my business most of the time.

    PLB with AIS

Seamark-Nunn have a price for them on their website. About £485 at the moment. The only thing I don't like is the NFC communication. I'd want to be sure this couldn't drain the battery. Does anyone know if either AIS-SART or PLB can be set to trigger on immersion or LJ inflation? Might be...

    Female Yacht Owners

Honestly if I was married or in a relationship I wanted be in for life it wouldn't occur for me to do it any other way.

    Female Yacht Owners

Princess Anne is the only lady I have ever met that I can say I am pretty sure owned a yacht. In fairness I couldn't say who actually owned just about every yacht I've been on. I don't ask as it's really not relevant to me but it's quite possible many were joint-owned by husband and wife.

What? I may have to start early spring cleaning and find the thing... Thank you for the heads up.

Boarding a vacant boat without permission

I did think about SOLAS as you could just claim you didn't know there was no-one onboard.

How to get a copy of your VHF Short Range Certificate if you've lost it?

I have the old VHF and a UK Aviation licence (probably expired) but I just crept into the DSC days. It was a big red button and a few well hidden menu options that no-one ever used back then if I remember rightly. It was Solitaire of this forum who actually ran the course at the outfit Jon...

How to get a copy of your VHF Short Range Certificate if you've lost it?

I did mine at the same time I did Day Skipper theory so I just assumed it was - the RYA definitely offer a course these days for a considerable sum of money. I can do it on line for £50 or even less so I'll just do it again anyway.

Boarding a vacant boat without permission

The UK doesn't even have a Good Samaritan law (Good Samaritan law - Wikipedia) unlike most of Europe, never mind one for property. Maybe one wasn't needed in earlier times but I reckon it is now.

How to get a copy of your VHF Short Range Certificate if you've lost it?

That's the one. If you could send that to me I'd be very grateful. I'm sure I can manage to correct the misspelling of my name...

How to get a copy of your VHF Short Range Certificate if you've lost it?

I'm with you totally - I have never been asked for a VHF certificate (or any other very often) but it was mentioned in the blurb for the charter and certain members of the party are now in a panic as none of us who sail have a clue where our certificates are. I have even been asked to do an ICC...
