    Mercruiser disaster

Definitely a BMW - 'BMW' moulded onto the engine - unless BMW sourced another manufacturers engine. It was new in 1989. Ideally we want a new or reconditioned identical engine. We know the D-tronic diesel currently fitted to Mercruiser Diesel is a VM sourced engine. In 1989 the...

    Mercruiser disaster

Serious internal problems with our Mercruiser 150hp 530DTA. Anyone know of a supplier of reconditioned engines/new engines/equivalent engine to fit a Bravo II leg - Falcon 23spc. Geraldine <hr width=100% size=1>Geraldine

Thanks for all your comments. Think we know which way to go now. Next question - anyone know who does the best deal in SS props? Geraldine

    Famous people on boats

I have danced with Dr Spock (the doctor with the book about babies, not the Mr with the pointy ears) in 'The Pub' on Tortola; and was on the same quiz team with the drummer from Supertramp at a music quiz night in the 'Virgin Queen' - we won that night..... , we have raced past Timothy West and...

    the scottish midge

Thanks everyone for your advice (bit disappointed at the lack of alternative offers to crew on a translantic yacht though...), so armed with my garlic pills, Citronella candles, Skin so Soft (Does the Avon Lady still ring the door bell?) and a boat that can probably just about outpace the Midge...

    the scottish midge

We are new to this forum, but are fellow trailboaters and friends of the Newports who have used the forum for advice on launching and mooring in Southampton and the Isle of Wight for our holiday in June. Cindy will probably be posting soon for advice on anchorages and moorings in the Western...
