It's to replace my searchlight.
I have normal torches and small red led head torches for the night vision sensitive stuff but if I'm picking my way into an unlit river and dodging moorings I require something with some grunt and range.
Hi chaps,
The time has come to replace my rather ancient torches aboard. There are many small ones available to buy and for jobs on deck/below etc I'm sure most of them are fine. I do however need to replace the searchlight which is currently a rechargeable type and I'm after a recommendation...
Hi chaps,
I'll soon be pulling the Yanmar 2GM20 out of my boat and wanting to sell it.
It's getting replaced with a bigger 3YM30.
Where's best to sell it? Market place usually seems full of lunatics and there are quite a few other options but I've never used any of them.
Anyone got any...
Well the Metz antennas require you to use a PL259 to connect to them.
As for a joint - I did fit inline N type Male and female below deck.
If you want to do the same thing you need 2x PL259's, 1X inline N type female and one Inline N type male.

I'm not looking to clear in to France or go ashore for obvious reasons. Normally this would be fine but does anyone know for sure if this is currently doable? I'm...
I have an almost carbon copy experience. They stopped taking my calls and fobbed me off with large servings of bullshit for ages.
I eventually got a cheque from them.... which bounced and then went through on second submission.
God knows where my sails went!
You can't do it online because the exam is practical and you need to learn how to operate the radio prior to taking it.
You might be able to do some of the theory online first though as you used to be able to with Bob.
ACF 50 - far superior product for preventing corrosion. Expensive though.
I don't use it on the engine but it gets used on electronics, connectors and anytihing vulnerable to corrosion.
Similar product is Corrosion Block which comes as a liquid and a grease and made by the same manufacturer...
