A Trader 47 that I work on every year, was missing it's davits the last time I was on board. When I asked the owner the reason for this, he told me it saved him £700 a year on his annual berthing fee.
I have in the past made the point on this forum that responsible boat owners should give some thought to the enviroment before they begin washing and cleaning out their bilges of their craft with products which may do an excellent job but are not biodegradeable and can harm marine and other...
A couple of years ago they dredged Northney Marina. Watching Split Two move around in the confines of of this small marina was very impressive. I always wonder how many Rolex watches get scooped up from the murky depths?

The first day I worked in my new dubarry boots, I was amazed at the total lack of grip on a wet deck, resulting in myself slipping down the steps of an azimut side deck and breaking a finger. I found wearing them around the yard on concrete a few times scruffed the surface of the soles and have...

When I worked for the u.k. Bavaria dealership, on occasions when washing there would be the odd leak from the chain plates and the cockpit table, though not the quantity you have described.

Maybe they are looking for all the rolex watches that have been lost overboard! If they find a Donald Duck timex, it's mine. :D

Yes it is fine to use on white gel-coat, but be gentle with it and always use it wet. As I posted before if you are a little heavy handed in one area, the lightest of polishing will remove any dull spot. I have used them for over 4 years now and would be lost without one in my bucket...
Always good to check prices of the sponges and shop around, I have seen them for as much as £1:00 each. Ebay is the way to go unless you want to import loads direct from China or Korea.
