It worked well for me.
It is not perfect, and does not claim to be. Wood surfaces are not protected much and weed grows at the waterline.
You still need anti-fouling to avoid the sea-squirts. Ultrasonic does not affect them. However those barnacles that do attach, and some will, all come off...
Why? Because most people are of a 'cruising persuasion' not a 'racing persuasion'. So for all the cruisers, the straining of the rig, the boat, and our arm muscles are just not worth it.

However the instructions that come with the panels use that phrase but then explain that the panels should be COVERED.
